I found myself nodding to so much of what you said in this one. Yes. Yes. Yes!

"or say "f$$%@! it" and flip a coin because it's time to publish." 😂 More people might need to take this approach

That might be my favorite fork in the algorithm. There's something surprisingly freeing about a deadline...and my frequent foul language 😂

I love the piece, Lyssa, and thank you for the reference! There is a lot of wisdom here. It captures the wonderful discussions that our group had and further extends to important life lessons.

There's so much wisdom to take away from this piece. Even though we'd talked about this before, reading it right now hit harder. Thanks so much for taking the time to write this "manual for receiving feedback". I needed it.

Thanks, Chinwe. I'm glad that I have a clear manual now, too! Better on 'paper' than in my head!

This issue is full of great stuff Lyssa! Don't Lose You indeed. The feedback processes in write of passage have been revolutionary for me in the same way, surprisingly helpful and useful, and I also came to basically the same operating procedure on taking what works and happily moving on from the rest. And a lot of it works!

Glad to hear you're navigating the feedback in the same way. So much of it works. It's amazing how a question or a small piece of guidance can transform an essay (or a life direction). And it's equally important to let the rest go.

Yes. All of this was in the back of my mind and I really appreciate that you took time to articulate it and write it down because it reinforces those takeaways for me in a tangible way.

I'm with you. For me, if I don't get it down on paper (or digits), things stick only haphazardly. Maybe that's why I write this newsletter 🤣
